Private Label: Honolulu

21-29 January 2011

Aloha mai,

We are very pleased and excited to invite you to join us this January in what is truly the most relaxing and rejuvenating place in the world: Hawai'i.  From the moment you step off the plane, the special atmosphere that is Hawai’i overwhelms your senses.  For over twenty years O'ahu has been our favorite winter get-away, and Honolulu and Waikiki our destination of choice.  No other place in the Islands affords the visitor more options, be it beaches or mountains, restaurants or shops, museums or historical sites, moonlight walks or moonlight madness.

Royal Hawaiian Hotel

Royal Hawai'ian Hotel

Recently reopened after an extensive 18 month restoration, The Royal Hawai'ian is one of the world’s grand hotels and is certainly a legend in its own time; majestically set on 10 acres of prime Waikiki beachfront with all of Waikiki’s excitement at its doorstep. King Kamehameha used the area as a playground after he conquered O'ahu, and Queen Ka'ahumanu had her summer palace in the coconut grove where the “Pink Palace” was built.

The Royal is home to the Abhasa Spa, a sophisticated and inviting retreat that effortlessly blends the traditions of the past with an array of cutting edge amenities. The spa backs onto the tropical gardens of the resort’s historic grounds, taking full advantage of the immense beauty of the lush, tropical gardens. Inside both single and double cabanas, treatments are delivered from expert hands.

O'ahu, “the gathering place”, is the heart of Hawai'i and the crossroads of the Pacific. The home to Honolulu and Pearl Harbor has so much to offer. The Arts:  Bishop Museum, Honolulu Academy of Arts. History: Queen Emma's   Summer Palace, Iolani Palace, Pearl Harbor    Memorial, USS Missouri, Punchbowl, Hickam Field. Shopping: International Market, Ala Moana Center (the largest shopping mall in the Pacific), historic Aloha Tower.

For those who like to get away from it all, just a few short miles over the Like-Like Pass you descend on the other side of the island, to the fabled North Shore, home of surfers and, at times, no one on the beach but you. East along the island, the coastline at Punaluu is amongst the most beautiful in the world.
